AUSSIES ABROAD: Socceroo Nikita Rukavytsya took his 2.Bundesliga assists tally to nine overnight after setting up a goal in Hertha BSC's 3-1 win over FSV Frankfurt.
Rukavytsya, who has been a revelation at Hertha as a winger since his off-season move from FC Twente, provided the assist for the equaliser on 21 minutes after FSV had taken an early lead.
The Australian shrugged off a challenge from FSV's Stefan Hickl on the left flank, before whipping in a pinpoint cross for Patrick Ebert to volley home.
The assist was Rukavytsya's ninth in the 2.Bundesliga this term, putting him in outright third place in the league standings for assists.
Roman Hubnik put Hertha ahead before the break, with Raffael rounded out the victory which moves the capital club five points clear at the summit.
Elsewhere overnight, Mitchell Langerak was back on the bench as an unused substitute as Borussia Dortmund defeated FC Koln 1-0 to move 15 points clear.
In Turkey's Super Lig, James Troisi did not play despite his recent return from injury as Kayserispor lost 2-1 at home to Manisaspor.
