Forgotten Socceroo Nikita Rukavytsya scored a brace overnight to help Maccabi Haifa to a vital 3-2 victory against Beitar Jerusalem overnight.
Rukavytsya, who scored either side of the break (42’, 51’), was a constant menace for the defence throughout the Israel Premier League Championship Group clash.
Even so, Maccabi Haifa had to come from behind twice to seal all three points with the 29-year-old former Western Sydney Wanderers and Perth Glory star proving decisive.
Post-match The Greens boss Guy Luzon said of the Aussie: "I really believe in him, he is an athlete and a good football player."
