ROBIN van Persie has admitted that he is still unsure of what role he will play for Netherlands at Euro 2012.
The Gunners hitman comes into the championships in Poland and Ukraine on the back of a prolific 2011-12 campaign, but Schalke attacker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has been equally as impressive in front of goal this season, giving coach Bert van Marwijk a selection headache.
Van Persie was given the nod to start up top against Slovakia in a warm-up friendly last week, which ended 2-0 in the Netherlands' favour, but he still harbours doubts over being given a starting place by the Oranje boss during the tournament.
"I do not know if I am the number one striker," Van Persie told OnsOranje.
"I really do not know. Nobody knows that yet. Van Marwijk will go for a striker who works well with the midfield, but that can also be Klaas.
"In recent years, he has developed very well, but I can develop too. There is always room for improvement."
Netherlands raise the curtains on their Euro 2012 campaign against Denmark in Group B on June 9.
