Socceroos goalkeeper Mat Ryan kept a clean sheet as Brighton secured an important win over Newcastle United on Sunday.
There was plenty of speculation during the week that Brighton's signing of Tim Krul would see Ryan's chances of remaining No.1 goalkeeper at the club disappear.Β
But he did himself no harm on Sunday, holding on for a clean sheet as Brighton won their second game in the Premier League this season.Β
The Australian made a few good saves throughout the match as Tomer Hemed's goal proved to be the difference in a 1-0 win.Β
The victory moved Brighton up to 13th, level on points with Arsenal, who have a game in hand.Β
Massive 3 points! So important to take advantage of being at home and with that atmosphere! Unreal! Clean sheet to boot, great Sunday ππΌππΌπ
