Socceroo Mat Ryan has reflected on the ups and downs of life in the Premier League after Man of the Match display in Brighton & Hove Albion's 0-0 draw with Burnley on Saturday.
Ryan was named in the BBC Team of the Week after his fine display which included another excellent double save against the Clarets.
The performance came a week after a mistake allowed Son Heung-Min's header in a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham.
Ryan had started the season slowly too with a few errors, but had found his feet in recent weeks, including making a super double save at Old Trafford against Manchester United.
"It's part and parcel of being human," Ryan said.
"Being a footballer, we make mistakes unfortunately and being a goalkeeper it's quite obvious when you do make one.
"You get punished a lot more than perhaps an outfield player but at Huddersfield and the first Tottenham goal as well, I thought I could have done better in both those actions.
"As the cross went to come in, my line of vision was actually blocked because Bongy (Gaetan Bong) was standing there and I couldn't see the ball come off his (Aurier's) foot until it was over his shoulder.
Nice to rebound with our 6th clean sheet of the season, we’ll keep fighting for that win 💪🏼. pic.twitter.com/tWPb5sLJPi

"Those were two moments where I felt I could have done better and it was a bit frustrating but I'm thankful I could contribute to the team (against Burnley) and contribute to getting another point on the board.
"My job back there is to help the guys out when I can, thankfully on a couple of occasions I was able to be there.
"It was nice to come out and get a clean sheet after the flurry of goals we've been conceding."
Ryan's Seagulls, who are winless in their past seven games, take on Watford on Saturday in the league.
Brighton are currently 13th on the table, three points above the drop zone.
"We haven't had a win in a while but it's important to try and stamp our authority," he said.
"We wanted to get the three points, and we were pretty positive with our play, but we didn't have the composure to tuck one away.
“I'm happy we've kept a clean sheet, so from that aspect I'm happy. Next week we've got Watford and we go again.”
