Socceroos defender Trent Sainsbury is set to join Belgian top-flight club Kortrijk according to reports.
French-Belgian news agency ERETZ Sport are reporting that Sainsbury left Israeli powerhouses Maccabi Haifa to join the Belgian Pro League club.
Sainsbury has had one of the most successful and injury-free spells of his career in Israel, starting 28 of his 33 total appearances for the club.
Kortijk finished 11th in the high-quality Belgian first division last season and should Sainsbury confirm the move, it will likely present the 28-year-old with a final chance to play the peak years of his career in a highly-rated European competition.
Sainsbury previously played in Europe for Inter Milan, PEC Zwolle, Grasshopper Zurich and PSV Eindhoven.
