The 22-year-old, who was the subject of a two rejected bids from the Rams - the latest for £5million - has told Saints boss George Burley he wants to leave St Mary's.

Southampton have confirmed the Trinidad & Tobago international has handed in a written transfer request and refused to play in Saturday's home fixture with Stoke.

Burley said: "Kenwyne spoke to me on Tuesday and said he did not want to play against Stoke.

"He confirmed that to me again on Friday morning and I am very disappointed by that."

WEST BROM have completed the £680,000 signing of Poland striker Bartosz Slusarski from Polish top-flight outfit Groclin Dyskobolia.

The 25-year-old has passed a medical at The Hawthorns and put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the option of a further 12 months.

Slusarki, who has been on trial with the Baggies, becomes manager Tony Mowbray's 12th summer signing.

"I believe he will add to the fierce competition we've got up front and offer us different qualities to the strikers we already have on board," said Mowbray.

"He isn't the type of striker who is necessarily going to lift supporters out of their seat with dazzling skills, but he brings other attributes. He is strong, brave, can hold the ball up and gets into the box."

NORWICH have also been in the transfer market and completed the signing of Scotland defender Ian Murray.

Murray, 26, becomes Canaries boss Peter Grant's ninth signing of the summer after being released by Rangers and the versatile defender could go straight into the squad for Saturday's clash at Hull.

QUEENS PARK RANGERS have been linked with multi-millionaire Flavio Briatore who has confirmed he is interested buying Queens Park Rangers but warned he would not "go crazy" to complete the sale.

Briatore, team boss of Formula One marque Renault, is involved with "a bunch of friends" in looking to acquire club.

However, the Italian has conceded the consortium is one of several parties looking to take over the troubled Loftus Road outfit.

"We have not put in any offer. Absolutely nothing formal has been done, but the lawyers are working.

"We know where we are and what we want to do. If it happens then I will be very happy, but we are not going to go crazy to have this club."

MILLWALL have bolstered their midfield by bringing in two new signings to help their League One campaign.

Midfielder Peter Vincenti, 21, has signed a four-month deal with the Lions after impressing in a trial spell and joins from Jersey league football.
