The reigning champions travel to the Marassi looking to start the 2008/09 season with a bang.

"We know we have to face every team at home and away and that we are capable of competing against anyone," said Mourinho.

"I am not worried about the calendar."

AC Milan and new midfielder Ronaldinho face an easier task by welcoming newly-promoted Bologna to the San Siro for the season's first fixture, and last season's runners-up Roma will meet Napoli at Rome's Stadio Olimpico.

Claudio Ranieri's Juventus will be put to the test when they travel to Tuscany to meet Fiorentina, who finished fourth last campaign.

Milan will not have to wait long for a city derby, as Inter take on bitter local rivals AC Milan on September 29, while the Eternal City derby between Roma and Lazio takes place on November 18.

Juventus meet Torino on October 26 in another local derby, and Juve host AC Milan on December 14.
