ARSENAL are hoping to complete a deal for Fulham's Australian goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer within a week according to The Sun.
The switch has been on hold as Fulham continue their search for a new manager following Roy Hodgson's departure to Liverpool but it is understood Schwarzer is keen on the switch.
The Sun reports the Gunners are set to make a new offer of £3m to the Cottagers for the 37-year-old Socceroos custodian, after having a £2m bid rejected.
It is understood, Schwarzer has been offered a player-coach role by Arsenal.
