To see the Socceroos in training on Saturday...

The veteran Australian shot-stopper was absent at Friday evening's training session after he injured his thumb and now looks set to miss the Socceroos' farewell match against New Zealand on Monday.

Schwarzer was present at training on Saturday, but was restricted to light duties with his left thumb strapped.

Culina, speaking to the media on Saturday, insisted the 37-year-old goalkeeper would be ready to take part in Australia's latter pre-World Cup friendlies against Denmark and the USA.

"He'll be fine," Culina said. "I think it is precautionary just missing a couple of sessions."

He added: "But he'll be fine, he'll be there, whether it's Monday night or the following match, he'll be right."

Luke Wilkshire also revealed he'll be ready for Monday's clash with the All Whites despite recent second-round surgery to remove a sun spot on his forehead.

"I'm fine," Wilkshire said. "I played in the game against Indonesia with the same thing, so it's not an issue for me."

The Dinamo Moscow man was asked if the scar would affect his heading ability. He laughed in response: "I've never been able to head the ball."
