SOCCEROO Tim Cahill has hailed his Australian compatriot Mark Schwarzer ahead of the weekend's English Premier League clash between the pair's respective clubs.
Cahill, who has scored three goals in his last two games for Everton, can't wait to take the field against the Cottagers on Sunday although he knows it'll be a tough task against the Europa League semi-finalists.
Schwarzer played a key role as Fulham held Hamburg SV to a goalless draw in Germany on Thursday and Cahill praised his fellow Socceroo.
"Fulham have been fantastic," Cahill told evertontv. "I think a big part of their success has been their goalkeeper Schwarzer.
"Not only because he is Australian - but because of what he has brought to their team. He helps keep them solid.
"He is a great keeper and someone I always like to score against - if I do it will be brilliant.
"As long as we are both fit at the end of the season we will be buzzing."
The Aussie duo are expected to be play a key role for their country after the league season ends, when the Socceroos travel to South Africa for the 2010 World Cup.
Before that, though, Cahill is focused on giving Everton the best chance possible to qualify for Europe.
He added: "We can't lose any games. If we lose or draw it is over - that is the harsh reality of it.
"Sixty-three points last year got us to Europe and that is what we are aiming for."
