FULHAM shot stopper Mark Schwarzer wants a second shot at European glory as the Cottagers prepare for their Europa League first leg quarter final clash against Wolfsburg.
The 37-year-old was part of the Middlesbrough side thrashed 4-0 by Sevilla in 2006 when the competition was still known as the UEFA Cup.
He told the Fulham Chronicle he was hungry for another chance.
"To have the opportunity to play in another final again would be unbelievable," he said. "The team's hungry to be successful and it's showed in our performances so far. I'd love to go all the way."
Boro conceded three goals in the final 12 minutes as they pushed for an equaliser in Eindhoven four years ago.
"It's always heartbreaking to lose a major final. It was an amazing accomplishment for Middlesbrough," he said.
"We lost 4-0, but I don't think that was a fair reflection of how the match went."
There were two other Australians in Eindhoven on that night, with striker Mark Viduka substituted on 85 minutes and Brad Jones, still at the club, Schwarzer's number two.
The first leg of Fulham's tie against the German side will be played on Friday morning (AEDST) at Craven Cottage.
