Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has backed Harry Redknapp's switch from Portsmouth to Tottenham.
Redknapp quit Pompey last night to move to White Hart Lane where he today watched his new side defeat Bolton 2-0 with goals from Roman Pavlyuchenko and a Darren Bent penalty.
Scolari, following his side's 1-0 home defeat by Liverpool, said: "Harry has gone to Tottenham and I wish him all the best.
"I like him as a coach and a person. If he changes because it is the time to change, then okay."
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez added on the departure of Juande Ramos, whose sacking led to Redknapp's appointment: "I was surprised because it happened so quickly.
"When a manager is sacked it is bad news for everyone."
Spurs face arch-rivals Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger said: "It was a surprise for me to see him move from Portsmouth to Tottenham in October, but football is full of surprises."
