Socceroo Mat Ryan is expected to line up for Brighton and Hove Albion next season after the Premier League new boys reached a deal worth about $9 million with La Liga side Valencia.
Spanish media reports that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs pending the greenlight from the 25-year-old goalkeeper.
Valencia had hoped to bring Ryan back from his loan to Belgian outfit Racing Genk and sell Diego Alves, but the Seagulls are understood to have put a firm offer on the table.
The Australian expressed a desire recently to return to Los Che and fight for the No 1 jersey.
Ryan signed a six-year deal with the Spanish club in July 2015.
The former Central Coast Mariners shotstopper was in World Cup qualifying action this week when Australia defeated Saudi Arabia 3-2.
