The former A-League hero at Sydney FC is now coaching Sydney United 58 in the NSW NPL.

Rudan told the new issue of FFT magazine out now that the NPL concept – which has overhauled, rebranded and revitalised the second tier of football in Australia – has been well received.

“From those I’ve spoken to, most, if not all, are pleased with the concept.

“As with anything that is new, time and patience are needed.”

Rudan added: “Through thorough professional coaching the players are better equipped for the rigours of professional football.”

FFT’s NPL feature also focuses attention on NPL star Brett Studman at Sydney Olympic.

And we spotlight NPL clubs Northern Fury, under player-coach Gareth Edds, and South Hobart FC. Key man at the Tasmanian club Hugh Ludford is also interviewed.
