SYDNEY FC captain Tony Popovic hopes last night's bumper crowd and entertainment extravaganza against LA Galaxy will bring the dormant Sydney fans to life.

“I think everyone out there would've been pleased with that," he said. "Eight goals, David scoring a goal and I think it was an entertaining and competitive game.
"And we hope Sydney fans come back for more. There was a great cheer every time we scored a goal.
“Hopefully these people can come back and see some more when we play in the A-League.”
Sydney's attendances - while not poor - have still been easily beaten by Melbourne Victory this season.
Not even the additon of Juninho to the squad has made a significant difference with a seemingly apathetic Sydney public.
Alex Brosque with two goals, Iain Fyfe, Ruben Zadkovich and Robbie Middleby were the home side's scorers.
