Alejandro Cichero scored 10 minutes from time to earn Shandong Luneng a 1-1 draw with hosts FC Seoul to keep their challenge for a place in the second round of the Asian Champions League on track.
Park Yong-ho's first-half header put the hosts ahead at Seoul World Cup Stadium only for the Venezuelan defender to score and allow his side to pick up a draw that moves them onto seven points from four games.
With the top two teams progressing to the last 16 of the competition, Shandong are in second place in the group, remaining three points ahead of FC Seoul. Defending champions Gamba Osaka lead the group.
Park gave his side the lead 24 minutes into the game when he met Kim Sung-yung's corner at the near post, powering his header towards the far side of the goal and the Shandong defence was unable to keep the ball out.
Seoul dominated the game and looked the more likely to find the back of the net again, with Dejan Damjanovic forcing a fine save out of Chinese goalkeeper Li Leilei.
Kim Sung-yung was denied by another fine save by Li just after the hour mark while the same player went close with a free-kick soon after which came back off the crossbar.
Cichero then cleared Lee Sun-ryeol's shot off the line and Li was forced into evasive action to keep out Adilson's header.
But, with 10 minutes remaining, Seoul's inability to kill off the game came back to haunt them when Cichero was left unmarked to head home and earn his side a point.
