Brazil shook off the early tournament cobwebs and are set to face Mexico in the first knockout phase of the 2018 World Cup after topping Group E with a well-earned 2-0 victory against Serbia.
Serbia needed nothing less than three points against Brazil who needed a result to secure a spot in the round of 16.
Paulinho opened the scoring in the first half while Thiago Silva capitalised from the set piece to head home another for Brazil.
Aleksander Mitrovic had chances to draw Serbia level but it wasn't enough, and they end their campaign at the World Cup in third place with three points.
SERBIA
Vladimir Stojkovic - 5.5
First major save of the match kept out Neymar from a very acute point-blank angle. A trailing hand slapped away Neymar's chances of stealing a third goal late on.
Antonio Rukavina - 5.5
Deliveries at the beginning of the match were a little off par. His upgrade in pace and agility compared to Ivanovic was the reason for his inclusion and it was a hit and miss decision.
Nikola Milenkovic - 5
A nightmarish task having to deal with Brazil's lightning-fast front four. Gabriel Jesus pulled him out of position on more than one occasion.
Milos Veljkovic - 4
Got back to block Jesus' shot after he was sent clear one-on-one and tricked his way past Milenkovic. Got pulled out by Jesus which opened up the space for Paulinho to penetrate and score.
Aleksander Kolarov - 5
Like his full-back counterpart Rukavina his deliveries were not up to scratch in the first half. Defending was sound against Willian who couldn't provide any spice for Brazil.
Nemanja Matic - 4
Played with fire, trying to dribble his way through three marauding Brazilian pressing attackers. Phillipe Coutinho and Paulinho's high pressure meant he was unable to stamp his authority on the match.
Dusan Tadic - 6
Gave Felipe Luis a real run for his money, opening up a number of avenues for Nemanja Matic and Antonio Rukavina to press forward. Extremely dynamic and hard working for Serbia when they needed him for an equaliser.
Filip Kostic - 5.5
Seriously encouraging defensive work from the winger as he took Serbia's first shot of the match. The first half fell out of Serbia's favour and he saw less and less of the ball as the match wore on.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic - 3.5
Couldn't inject himself into the contest ahead of Casemiro although he could have made more room for himself if he attempted to move out to the flanks to get touches on the ball.
Adam Ljajic - 5
Great work defensively, getting back to dispossess Coutinho and ensure Serbia weren't overwhelmed by Brazil's rapid attack.
Aleksander Mitrovic - 4.5
Led a pressing game against Brazil that caught them off guard and led to turnovers. A perfect headed opportunity fell right at Alisson, not troubling the keeper.
Subs
Andrija Zivkovic - 5
Couldn't make a difference for Serbia in the final third as they were chasing the game at 2-0 down.
Nemanja Radonjic - N/A
Luka Jovic - N/A
BRAZIL
Alisson Becker - 6
Performed well acting as the sweeper keeper in the second half. Parried away a cross from Kostic right onto Mitrovic's head but it hit Thiago Silva and fell into Alisson's thankful arms.
Fagner - 6
Early on he conceded a few chances with Serbian attacks succeeding on his right flank. Shored himself up a bit after Brazil took control and eventually went 1-0 up.
Miranda - 6.5
Allowed Mitrovic to control the ball on the penalty spot when a cross came in, with the striker's physical presence throwing Miranda off.
Thiago Silva - 7.5
Was standing in the right place as Mitrovic's point-blank, reactive header hit him on the lap and went into Alisson's hands. Another World Cup goal for the defender, after his bullet header sliced through the net at the near post.

Marcelo - N/A
One of Brazil's leaders was subbed off after ten minutes with what is believed to be a hamstring injury and a reported spasm in the back.
Casemiro - 7
Given the job of marking the influential Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and he completed the task. The Serbian midfielder had little to no impact on the match.
Phillipe Coutinho - 7
An extraordinarily explosive start to the match, creating two chances in two minutes for Brazil. A world-class dink over the top set Paulinho free to send Brazil ahead.
Paulinho - 7.5
Ljajic was on his case, constantly making it difficult for Brazil to play forward. He shook himself free as he ran right through the middle of the Serbian defence to chip Brazil into a 1-0 lead.
Willian - 5
Couldn't make a difference for Brazil either through the centre or on the left flank.
Gabriel Jesus - 7
A new approach brought swifter attacking movements for Brazil when he dropped deep to play off Coutinho and Neymar. Pivotal in the build-up and fabrication of Brazil's goal.
Neymar Jr. - 6.5
Had a quality shot from an acute angle saved by Stojkovic in the first half as he threatened more than in the first two group matches. Swung in the corner for Silva to head home number two.
Subs
Felipe Luis - 6.5
Early introduction after Marcelo's injury. In first match at Russia 2018 he had some issues to deal with by the name of Dusan Tadic. He quickly got the situation under control.
Fernandinho - 6
Brought on for Paulinho to try and cement their hold on the match. After his introduction Brazil took back ahold of the match after a brief nervous spell.
Renato Augusto - N/A
