Milan won 2-0 at Parma, Zlatan Ibrahimovic opening the scoring from the penalty spot in the 17th minute and Urby Emanuelson adding a second 10 minutes into the second half.

Juventus' success was more emphatic as they thrashed 10-man Fiorentina 5-0 away from home.

Mirko Vucinic put the visitors in front in the 15th minute and Fiorentina's hopes of recovering suffered a blow when Alessio Cerci was sent off five minutes later.

Arturo Vidal gave Juve a two-goal lead at the break before further strikes from Claudio Marchisio, Andrea Pirlo and Simone Padoin finished off the home side.
