Speculation surrounding Ramos has intensified in recent days due to Spurs' poor start to the new Premier League season under Martin Jol and an alleged meeting between the Spaniard and officials from the London club.

But Sevilla are adamant Ramos will remain in Andalucia.

"From the club's point of view, Ramos has one year left on his contract with Sevilla," club sporting director Ramon Rodriguez told PA Sport.

"There's no doubt that we want him to continue."

Sevilla's stance is understandable as Ramos is the most successful coach in the club's history.

He has led them to five trophies in 15 months - the latest at the weekend when a thrilling 5-3 win at the Bernabeu completed a 6-3 aggregate triumph against Real Madrid in the Supercopa.
