Leading 3-0 from the first leg in La Coruna, Sevilla secured a 5-0 aggregate victory thanks to goals from Sergio Duda and Ernesto Chevanton in the second leg at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

It took the home side just three minutes to shatter any hopes of a possible comeback from Depor as Portuguese midfielder Duda slotted home a superb 25-yard free-kick from the right-hand side of the area.

Chevanton, who scored Sevilla's second goal in their 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid at the weekend, then made it 2-0 just after the half-hour mark following a clinical attack from the home side.

Depor, the 2002 cup winners, could find no way back after that and they exit the tournament having been unable to find the net in either of the two semi-final legs.

The victory means Sevilla have kept alive their hopes of winning a cup double this season, having last week remained on course to defend their UEFA Cup title after knocking out Osasuna to set up a final showdown with Espanyol next week.

Sevilla are also still in the hunt for the Primera Liga title, although they are now four points behind Primera Liga leaders Barcelona following Sunday's defeat to Madrid.

In the Copa del Rey, Sevilla will face either Barca or Getafe in the final as the Andalusian side look to win the competition for the first time since 1948.

The other semi-final second leg takes place at Getafe's Coliseum Alfonso Perez stadium on Thursday, with Barca holding a 5-2 lead from the first meeting.
