As announced on this website on Saturday, Robbie Fowler has arrived in Sydney to continue negotiations about a proposed move to the harbour city club.

Club officials will not be holding back as they woo the former Liverpool star by arranging an impressive schedule for the striker. Dwight Yorke – the club’s first marquee player – enjoyed a similar trip when he was contemplating his move. He is being accompanied by Sydney FC CEO George Perry and General Manager of Football and Event Operations, Bob Patterson.

Fowler has seen the best of Sydney’s sites today and has also visited the club’s new training facilities at Macquarie University and Sydney Football Stadium.

He will however, depart Sydney this afternoon en route to Maroochydore in Queensland to meet up with the Sydney FC playing squad.

Sydney FC is currently in pre-season preparations in Queensland. While Fowler is not expected to train with the team, he is expected to be in attendance at Saturday’s Pre-Season Cup match as Sydney FC takes on Queensland Roar at Maroochydore Soccer Club on the Sunshine Coast.

Sources have also told us that when Fowler returns to Sydney he will enjoy a lunch held in his honour on board FFA Chairman Mr Frank Lowy’s private super yacht, the Ilona.
