Lu Zheng struck in the 54th minute before Han Peng rounded off the scoring 17 minutes before time to move Shandong onto six points in Group F.

The visitors started well and Lee Seung-yeoul provided most of their attacking threat in the opening exchanges as he shot wide before heading into the hands of Li Leilei when well placed.

Aleksander Zivkovic shot over the bar for the hosts just after the half hour mark as the Chinese Super League side started to get into the game.

Shandong made the breakthrough nine minutes into the second half when Cui Peng squared a pass inside the box to the unmarked Lu Zheng and the forward lashed a low drive into the net.

FC Seoul searched for an immediate equaliser but were struggling to find a way through the Shandong defence and their best chance to level did not arrive until the 70th minute when Kim Seung-yong crossed for Lee Seung-yeoul, but the midfielder headed over the bar.

Shandong added a second three minutes later when Zivkovic chipped the ball towards Lu Zheng, who chested down before turning a defender and curling an effort goalwards which goalkeeper Park Dongsuk failed to hold allowing Han Peng to prod home the rebound from close range.

FC Seoul were denied a late consolation when Adilson struck an effort from inside the box that smashed against the crossbar to ensure Shandong preserved their clean sheet.
