AUSSIE Shane Huke has left English fourth-tier club Dagenham and Redbridge and returned Down Under for personal/family reasons.
The 23-year-old has spent much of this season recovering from a groin problem and has had to be largely content with stints off the bench.
Daggers manager John Still told the club's official website: "Shane has decided he needs to go back to Australia until at least next season, if returning at all.
"So we thank him for the fantastic effort he has put in and thank him for being an unbelievable lad and personality around the place and I'm very sad and disappointed for him and his family and wish him all the best for the future."
Huke's return could alert A-League clubs with the former Peterborough United man once having been linked with Sydney FC.
