Contracts between Cole's NSW premier league club Sydney Olympic and FC have been drawn up and it's expected that the 23-year-old defender will finally become a Sydney FC player after months of trialing with the club.

What it means is that although Cole can play this weekend for Sydney Olympic in the NSW Tiger Turf Cup final, he will likely miss the NSW Premier League play-offs as it clashes with the A-League season kick off the following week.

However the 23-year-old, who can play in defence and midfield and is a set piece specialist, is concentrating on winning silverware for his club against Bankstown City on Sunday.

The final will be played on the artificial turf at Seymour Shaw Park in Sutherland.

Olympic will be without influential midfielder Peter Zorbas who went in for a knee operation today. Lions will look to former NSL star Peter Tsekenis for their inspiration in the middle of the park.

"I'm looking forward to the game this weekend, that's my focus right now," Cole told au.fourfourtwo.com.

It's expected that another talented Sydney Olympic player may join Cole at Sydney in the not too distant future.
