RIO DE JANEIRO, February 26 (State Tournaments) - At least three people were shot shortly before the Rio de Janeiro derby between Flamengo and Vasco da Gama in the Taca Guanabara semi-finals, in the Campeonato Carioca.
The incidents happened at the doors of Vasco's Sao Januario stadium, where a group of fans went to get tickets for the game that would take place at Maracana later.
When told no tickets were available to them, the supporters turned violent and police were forced to act against them.
Shots were heard but it is not yet clear whether they came from police guns or from the fans. Either way, three innocent people were wounded.
