Held at Star City's Sports Theatre on Wednesday February 3, the WFC will pit 32 two-person table football teams battling it out in eight groups to make it into the knockout stage – just like the real tournament, but with one catch.

Seeing as the teeny tiny fussball players can't use their hands, we thought it only right that France were eliminated from our tournament and the deserving Irish take their place. It only seems fair.

In attendance will be Sydney FC's Steve Corica, John Aloisi and Terry McFlynn and Fox Sports Matchday Saturday duo Mark Bosnich and Robbie Slater. Our Trev and Andy are playing too, but they're far from celebs.

And you and a friend could be taking part too! As well as having the glory of being able to call yourself the World Fussball Cup champions, both players will walk off with a slab of Carlsberg and a replica World Cup trophy for your troubles.

If you want to be a team in the World Fussball Cup, email fussball@fourfourtwo.net.au and we'll inform you if you're one of the lucky 32 teams.
