Sim left South African club Cape Town City at the end of 2016 for personal reasons. The midfielder played for Central Coast Mariners and Western Sydney Wanderers from 2014 to 2016.

Before that he had spells at Manly United and the Sutherland Sharks. Sim told FourFourTwo he has signed a one-year deal with Sydney United 58 FC and may look for a move to Asia after that.

"It's obviously a big club with a lot of history," the 28-year old said.

"In recent years Sydney United 58 FC has been a dominant force in the NPL in both NSW and the NPL National final series. I have several ex-teammates there too."

Sydney United 58 FC won the NPL NSW premiership last year.
