'Aussie' Josip Simunic has opened up about Graham Poll - the man who gave him three yellow cards when Croatia played Australia at the World Cup.
Poll has recently retired from refereeing following a string of high-profile mistakes and clashes with leading football identities, such as Chelsea's Jose Mourinho.
The Englishhman's retirement prompted Simunic to say, "What has happened in England shows how arrogant this man is.
"Problems were not one-offs with him, they happened a lot.
"And he just didn't communicate with players at all. He was like a teacher with an attitude problem."
Simunic has also been linked with a move to Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg as a replacement for Kevin Hofland, who may be moving to join Feyenoord. The big defender feels he is undervalued by his current side Hertha Berlin.
