There's even more here.

SINGAPORE 0 AUSTRALIA 3
(Viduka 53, 89, Kewell 77)

FULL-TIME:
The scoreline flatters Australia - the first half they were in deep trouble. They were much stronger in the second half, even before Kewell came on. But when Harry returned to the side, they moved onto a whole new level. The defence had a lot less to do in the second half, but still didn't look convincing when they were tested. All too often they were simply missing in action. Kisnorbo didn't have a bad game, but Beauchamp appeared to edge him, although by then Singapore were much more tired and the counter attacks were all half-hearted by then. Wilkshire didn't do too bad on the left and was better than Thwaite in his last outing, but Scott Chipperfield is sorely missed. Midfield was much better in last 45, with better discipline and fewer sloppy passes. Holman did his selection chances no favours whatsoever tonight. Carle and Thompson both looked better options although they never really got the chance to test their finishing. All-in-all, with Cahill and Kewell back in the line up and able to start, Australia would be looking good for the cup...but much more work is still required on the training field...

93 And it's all over - the whistle goes for full-time.

92 Nathan Burns is on for Viduka. Thompson tries a run into the box but it's knocked out for a corner, taken quickly and short. Australia just retaining possession now.

90 Thompson comes down the right, passes to Carle who pushes it out to Kewell, gives it back to Carle who tries a shot but it takes a deflection and the goalie grabs it.

89 GOAL! Beautiful - Kewell rips down the left wing, goes past his man, comes in, crosses, picks out Viduka perfectly who heads it straight into the back of the net. Superb.

88 Thwaite's on. Grella tries to find space for Thompson but it's too ambitious and the Reds have the ball.

86 Thwaite's about to come on, presumably for Wilkshire. Reds on the attack, the cross is good, the striker gets his head to it but it comes straight to Schwarzer for an easy take.

83 Australia toy with Singapore in the box, with Carle, Kewell, Viduka and Thompson exchanging passes before Carle tries a shot with his left. His right would have been better and it goes wide of the left post. A touch over elaborate by the Aussies there...very Arsenal-style.

82 Viduka penalised for trying to brush his way past the defence. Free kick, but Thompson cuts out a pass and Kewell runs onto it, but is challenged and Singapore have it back again.

80 Emerton's ball into space for Thompson is too strong. Singapore counter from the goal kick and the shot comes in but Schwarzer has this one under control and it's straight into his hands.

79 Good effort - Carle comes in from the left, plays it into the box, picks up a 1-2 then plays Thompson for the shot which rebounds clear.

78 Sterj is off, Carle is on.

77 GOAL! Sterj steers the ball into the centre and Kewell's there, he runs onto it and then powers it home with his right. Nice goal.

76 Australia still aren't clearing their lines properly and it's only the lack of skill by Singapore that is denying them a goal. Nicky Carle's set to come on soon...

74 A long ball into the box tries to find Kewell who battles with the keeper for it, but he manages to pluck it from Harry's head. Singapore counter quickly again and once more it flashes past the goalmouth but Australia escape.

73 Singapore counter and it comes to nothing, but it gives the Socceroos a bit of a wake-up call.

72 Australia are looking much more dominant in midfield now. Sterj goes down the right wing and picks out Kewell running through the centre who tries to let fly but miskicks and it gets away from him. The ball hit Kewell's left leg quite hard and he looked a bit rattled by it. He seems okay though...

71 Viduka sets Kewell up in front of goal with only the keeper to beat but Lewis saves it with his legs. How sweet would that have been...

70 Nice backheel by Kewell creates a chance for Oz but the ensuing shot is easily dealt with.

69 At last! Holman's off, Archie's on. That should have happened 25 minutes ago...

68 Scrappy freekick by Singapore isn't dealt with properly by Oz but the shot is a Holman-type effort.

67 Holman has another shot. Guess what? Off target.

67 Emerton takes a freekick and Kewell has a header, it takes a deflection and makes for a tricky save by the keeper.

65 Kewell takes it up the left wing, wins a throw in which goes to Viduka but Singapore push it back to midfield. This is better by Australia though.

64 Another Australia corner. Comes in well but the keeper is out well and claims it nicely.

63 Emerton wins a corner.Sterj takes it, punched clear, back to sterj but the ball goes out for an Oz throw in. It comes to Holman who lets loose from a way out and it's a wild shot, way over the bar. Take. Him. Off. Now.

62 Kewell comes on for Bresh. Yay! First time back in the green and gold since the Croatia game in the World Cup over a year ago.

61 Reds countering once again and again beating the defence but the shot comes easily to Schwarzer as the Singapore striker tries to claim for a penalty. Ignored.

60 Australia pushing forward now and putting Singapore backline under pressure but it ends in a goal kick.

59 Viduka breaks through, gets the ball to Bresh who strikes, saved by the keeper but the rebound comes straight back to Bresh whose second shot goes wide.

57 And again Singapore almost equalise. A great shot from outside the box is struck beautifully but finds the post. Schwarzer was beaten again and the defence was wide open. The deflection was played back into the box again and once more there is a free striker in acres of space, but the ref blows for offside. That looked dodgy, but Australia will be grateful for it.

56 Injured Singapore player is replaced by a 17 year old starlet, Harun.

55 Ohhhhh - Singapore come so close to equalising. A great ball in from a throw in trundles through the entire defence and past Schwarzer but there was no-one there to tap it in for Singapore. They are down to just 10 men at the moment while one is treated for an injury on the sidelines.

54 The relief is palpable but the lack of Australian celebrations shows they know they haven't played well up to now. Kisnorbo is taken off, Michael Beauchamp replaces him.

53 GOAL! Culina chips it in from the right and Viduka gets his head to it and it loops in, hits the post and just crosses the line before Singapore attempt to clear it. Ref isn't fooled and awards Australia the goal.

52 Good delivery in but Australia clear and now they are on the counter.

51 Singapore take their time over their kick, tee it up then take a shot but it's deflected behind for a corner.

50 Yellow card for Grella for a studs up challenge just outside the box.

49 Sterj gets the ball on the right from Viduka and comes in to try a shot but there's not enough power to worry the keeper.

47 Holman tries a run through the box ... but it runs away from him for a Reds throw-in.

46 Oz throw in just level with the Singapore box.

46 - They're coming back on the pitch. Australia will restart. And we're off again. No changes so far in the Socceroo line-up...yet. Singapore are still the same too - and why would they change anything??

HALF-TIME: Australia can think themselves lucky not to go in behind. This is their least impressive outing in a long time. The defence is confused and lacks confidence. The midfield has done well most of the time, but there have been far too many loose passes that gave the ball away and handed the initiative to Singapore who have countered quickly and efficiently. In attack, Viduka needs more support than he's getting from Holman who's squandered far too many opportunities. Singapore must be delighted with the game so far - they've attacked well, defended in numbers and their keeper has barely had to make a single save. Only the woodwork has denied them going in ahead so far. Graham Arnold needs to have serious words during the break. This performance and ability will not get them out of the group stage at the Asian Cup, never mind get them to the final. Can Kewell make a difference in the second half? And should Holman make way for Archie?

46 Half-time whistle goes.

45 And that should have been a goal at the other end. Nice play gave Sterj plenty of time to put in a perfect ball into the middle of the box, Holman pounces on it but sends it wide. That should at the very least have been on target. And it should have been a goal.

43 Once again the Singapore striker is free behind the defence from a clever chip, but Neill puts it behind in a last ditch effort. Corner comes in and a FABULOUS header hits the bar. Schwarzer was beaten.

42 Culina gives away a free kick on the edge of the box. Australia playing with fire here. It floats in and Schwarzer has to parry it before clutching it.

41 Singapore on the counter once more on the right wing, cross field ball is just too far ahead of the unmarked striker and luckily it runs out for a goal kick.

40 Australia play it well again into the box but they can't break through the tight marking and sheer numbers of Singapore. Bresh finds some space and chips in a cross, Holman comes in late and tries a leaping header but it goes over the bar.

38 Bresh is blatantly bundled off the ball. Australia still not linking up their passes well, giving away possession and allowing Singapore to counter. This time the shot comes in across the goal and Schwarzer dives to his right and grabs it at the second attempt.

37 Nice play by Australia sees Bresh on the left wing flighting it in but there's no-one there to finish it.

36 Now Holman is through after a deflection from Viduka plays him into space, but he can't control it and it ends harmlessly.

35 Emerton puts in another great ball but Holman can't control it. Singapore take possession and suddenly after an error by Lucas Neill, they are 1 on 1 with Schwarzer but the keeper keeps himself big and averts disaster. That was very close for Oz.

33 Emerton darts down the right wing and puts it back for Holman who tries the shot but again doesn't connect well. Nice move though.

31 Kisnorbo gets a yellow card for an innocuous challenge. Barely looks like a free-kick never mind a card. Freekick is played onto the right wing, and it comes back into the box for an ambitious overhead bicycle kick which goes wide. Ambitious play by Singapore.

31 Singapore are getting men behind the ball every time Australia are in possession, then countering whenever they have control.

30 Singapore get behind the Oz defence but Australia tackle just enough to get it away. Antoher attempt comes to nothing. This isn't an impressive display in defence and midfield by Australia so far.

28 Kisnorbo is in a one on one chase with a Singapore striker and has to put it behind for a corner. It comes in well but is only cleared as far as the red midfield. Singapore try again but it's cleared to safety this time.

27 Re-take after the first is taken too quickly. Bresh lines it up - lets loose... and it's awful. Way too high. Goal kick.

26 Viduka's brought down again outside the box after a nice run and pass from Grella. Free kick.

25 Bresh puts in a lovely ball to find Viduka in the box on the left of goal, he tries to chip it in but it comes back to him and the second chip finds its way into the keeper's hands via Bresh's foot.

23 Culina comes in very high on the back of a Singapore midfielder and it's a Singapore free kick outside the box. Flighted in but ref blows for an Oz freekick.

22 Singapore freekick outside the box comes straight and high into the six yard box and Schwarzer takes care of it with a well-held pluck from the air.

21 Viduka's strength wins a foul 15 yards outside the Singapore box. Wilkshire takes it. Nice chip in, but Kisnorbo fouls his marker and gives away a freekick. He's offside too.

20 Singapore head upfield again and finally get their first real shot in, but it's easily claimed by Schwarzer.

18 Emerton puts in a looping ball to the box and Viduka is clear behind the defence with only the goalie to beat, but he just can't quite reach it to control it right and it loops over the bar. Close - should have done better.

17 Singapore continue to pressure. Australia haven't got a grip of this game yet, although Singapore aren't yet in danger of actually scoring.

16 Singapore freekick after a bodycheck on their striker but Kisnorbo clears it into touch.

14 Now Singapore are failing to play it out of defence but Australia can't capitalise and Singapore push through again. Neill recovers possession and does a 1-2 off the ref.

13 Singapore pushing up again but Oz force them back into their own half.

12 Bresh tries to put the ball in low from the right wing but it's easily cleared by the defence.

12 Some loose passing by the Socceroos in midfield is flattering Singapore, ranked 136th in the world to Australia's 48th place.

11 Viduka knocks down a long ball for Holman who doesn't connect well and Viduka tries to backheel it into the goal but fails. He's offside anyway.

10 Jason Culina tries his luck from distance but it's a daisycutter and goes to the keeper's hands easily.

9 Oz have been stuck in their own box for the last few minutes but finally break free but the long ball's too much for Viduka. Singapore keeper belts it back downfield again.

8 It was a good kick floating dangerously across the whole goal. The Singapore striker can't quite make a good connection with it though under pressure from Oz defence and it goes behind for a goal kick.

6 Foul by Sterj gives Singapore a free kick deep in their own half, taken long and they win a throw in level with penalty box but it comes to nothing. Australia playing it out of defence unconvincingly and give away a free kick on the edge of the box.

5 Terrible pass gives Singapore a throw in. Midfield tussle gives them another but Oz recover the ball and push forward again, but it goes out for another Singapore throw in.

4 Wilkshire again from the other side plays it low to Bresh who tries to backheel it into danger but it's cleared.

3 Oz throw in on centre line played back to defence who hold possession then frees Holman who pushes forward. Puts the ball to Viduka but he's bundled off the ball and its put behind for another corner on the right.

2 Wilkshire takes it, deep to the back post where Viduka's head puts it high and wide

2 Singapore throw in at the centre line up but Australia recover possession and Bresh pushes up to the byline, crosses it and it's put behind. Oz corner.

1 Australia confidently head it back to Schwarzer to give him his first touch which is played up to midfield.

0 And we're off (finally...) - Singapore kick-off.

Dukes is captain.
