Young Roar forward Petros Skapetis' contract has been terminated by mutual consent.
The 23-year-old forward joined Brisbane Roar in August 2017, making 14 A-League appearances for the side without scoring.
Skapetis has featured semi-regularly this season under John Aloisi, due in part to a succession of injuries to key Brisbane forwards.
With Eric Bautheac, Corey Gameiro, Shannon Brady, Daniel Leck, Fahid Ben Khalfallah, Brett Holman and Massimo Maccarone all fit and firing, Brisbane may have seen their glut of forward options as unsustainable.
Skapetis had an impressive youth career in England, playing for Queens Park Rangers, Stoke City and Dover Athletic, without making a first team appearance.
