AUSTRALIA must get 'back to basics' and maintain their World Cup belief ahead of a must-win game against Ghana, according to captain Lucas Neill.
Australia suffered a huge blow against the Germans but they must pick themselves up quickly ahead of the next challenge.
"Nothing I can say at the moment is going to change anybody's mentality, everybody knows what's happened," Neill told News Ltd.
"We have to get back to basics. Be hard to beat, be solid and keep our shape.
"I'm still very proud; we've taken on one of the world's best teams and lost, it's nothing to be ashamed of."
The skipper said minds must now be focused the challenge of beating Ghana rather than looking back.
"We all reiterated that we have to win the next two games and we have to believe we can. Everyone is disappointed obviously and rightly so, but we've got to stay positive," he added.
