SHANE Smeltz has been voted top A-League performer of the season by his peers and walked away with three awards at Monday's ceremony in Sydney.
The outgoing Wellington Phoenix striker picked up the prestigious Johnny Warren Medal - voted for by his A-League colleagues - as well as the golden boot trophy and goal of the season (for a strike against Melbourne Victory in round 13).
Smeltz received the award ahead of fellow contenders Charlie Miller (Queensland Roar) and Travis Dodd (Adelaide United).
Adelaide United's Aurelio Vidmar was coach of the season
Scott Jamieson won the rising star award.
Charlie Miller was the best import in the A-League.
Queensland Roar picked up the fair play award.
Eugene Galekovic was goalkeeper of the season
Matthew Breeze was referee of the season
