TIM Smits smashed in a hat-trick as Brisbane Roar continued their pre-season build up with a 6-0 demolition of Brisbane Olympic.
A rare goal from Massimo Murdocca opened the scoring 10 minutes before the interval with the midfielder taking on Adam Sarota's pass and firing into the top corner.
Sergio Van Dijk headed in a Robbie Kruse's centre to double the lead with Smits then making it 3-0.
Smits was thwarted by the woodwork on 68 minutes but David Dodd pounced to make it four.
Smits collected his second soon after when he rose to head home a cross from triallist Wayne Buchanan.
The youngster completed his hat-trick five minutes from time by slotting home a penalty after Kruse was brought down in the area.
