Australian registrations are now open for the Nike Academy Most Wanted, the unique search for young players who dream of becoming elite footballers.
The initiative gives unsigned footballers the chance to earn a place at the Nike Academy based at St. George’s Park, the home of the England national team, with the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of elite clubs, coaches and mentors.
Young footballers can show their skills with open trials held across multiple locations including Darwin, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle and Sydney.
Those who impress will be selected to attend the all-expenses paid Pacific Final in Sydney at the end of October.

Over the six week training journey, the youngsters will have the opportunity to train with elite coaches and the nation’s best players.
The Pacific winner(s) will then attend the Nike Academy Most Wanted Global Showcase in the UK and showcase their worth to top international clubs, coaches and scouts, looking for the next star.
Australians have previously found success in the Nike Academy Most Wanted search include Celtic FC and Socceroo Tom Rogic who won in 2011.
Rogic credits much of his success during the Most Wanted process to preparation, focus, recovery, and training.
“Most of the hard work is done during training – that’s where you prepare yourself best,” Rogic said.
“Try not to get caught up in stressing or overthinking, just go out there and do your job.
“Every time you go out to the pitch to train, it’s an opportunity to improve and develop.”
