Fresh from being named in the Socceroos squad, Hibernian attacker Martin Boyle scored the opener for Hibernian in a 6-0 demolition of Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Premiership overnight.
Hibs chalked up three goals in each half to record their fourth straight win and move within two points of league leaders Hearts.
Boyle latched onto a rebound and coolly found his target in a crowded penalty area to break the deadlock in the 25th minute.
Two more goals were piled on in the next 15 minutes and by the time the dust settled Stevie Mallan had a brace.

Socceroo Mark Milligan’s steely contribution at the base of midfield hasn’t gone unnappreciated either - the Aussie’s arrival at Easter Road coinciding with four straight clean sheets.
Milligan, who arrived late in the transfer window, was the featured player in the matchday publication The Hibee.

Despite reported pressure to commit to Scotland, Boyle opted to play for the Green and Gold and was called up to Graham Arnold’s squad this week.
The 25-year-old, whose father was born in Australia, won’t be eligible to play against Kuwait this month but is expected to be cleared by FIFA in time for the November friendlies against South Korea and Lebanon.
