Aaron Mooy is hoping dreams do come true when his side Huddersfield Town meet Reading FC at Wembley in the Championship playoff final.
Mooy’s Terriers will tackle Reading FC at Wembley for the final promotion spot to play in the English Premier League next season.
The match, which kicks off on Monday afternoon (12am Tuesday Australian time) is believed to be worth around $350 million to the winner and is dubbed the most expensive match in the football world.
Mooy nailed his penalty in the second leg against Sheffield Wednesday to help book Huddersfield Town’s place at Wembley.
“The whole season has been crazy and I couldn't have imagined getting this far when I arrived,” he said.
“We're trying to continue the journey. When I was young, I just used to dream of playing in the Premier League.
"At the age of 16 I left Australia to go to Bolton. Going to Wembley is now my chance to make it into the Premier League, so it's very special.”
Regardless if Huddersfield Town defeat Reading FC or not, Mooy is expected to be Premier League-bound next season.
The Socceroo is on loan from Manchester City, and a number of top flight clubs, including Newcastle United, Brighton and Southampton, have been linked with him.

Mooy admits he’s unsure who he will be playing for next season.
“I've no idea, I'm just finishing off the season and then I'll speak to Manchester City and go from there,” he said.
“When I joined Man City, they said ‘we’re going to send you out on loan straight away’, so that was always the plan.
"There has been no direct with Guardiola, but scouts from Man City come and watch me, keep in touch and tell me what I’m doing well and how I can do better.
“I’ll try and do my best whoever I’m playing for and that’s what I’ll always do.”
Few expected Mooy and the Terriers to reach Wembley this season. Most pundits had tipped Huddersfield Town to face relegation. Meanwhile the Australian has won several awards for his performances and has been affectively dubbed the ‘Pasty Pirlo’.
Mooy said he “can’t wait” to grace the turf at the iconic London stadium.
“Playing at Wembley will be the realisation of a dream,” he said.
“Every player wants to achieve that and we’ve got the chance to do something special. I didn’t have any expectations when I joined Huddersfield because I saw where they finished last year. To be going to Wembley now is crazy.”
