Queenslanders have the chance to send the Qantas Socceroos off in style with a huge home crowd on Wednesday 3 March at Suncorp Stadium, said Football Federation Australia chief executive Ben Buckley today.

"Fans should save up their decibels and be at Suncorp Stadium to help make it the noisiest night ever for the Socceroos in their one and only Queensland send-off match," Buckley said.

"It is an extremely important match with the Socceroos needing a result to guarantee qualification for the AFC Asian Cup 2011 in Qatar."

Following the priority purchasing period for members of the Football Family, tickets for this match went on sale this morning to the public and start at $25 for adults and $65 for families.

Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek said a huge home crowd would lift the players as they tried to finalise qualification after an extensive AFC Asian Cup campaign.

"We will need a positive result to assure our spot in Qatar next year and to do this we will need to score goals. Having a large crowd behind us in our own country will be a significant advantage," Verbeek said.

"We have played in front of large crowds in Indonesia, Oman and Kuwait and there is no doubt that home ground conditions and vocal home crowds have an impact on the performance of the players."

Acting Queensland Minister for Sport, Karen Struthers MP encouraged football fans to get tickets.

"This will be the fourth time the Socceroos have played at Suncorp Stadium since its redevelopment," she said. "They average a crowd of more than 43,500 at the venue and I'm certain another large crowd will be on hand to welcome the Indonesians to Brisbane for this important clash.

"Queenslanders love their sport."

The AFC Asian Cup 2011 qualifier will be the 15th time the Socceroos have faced Indonesia. In their most recent meeting in Jakarta on 28 January last year, the teams played out a 0-0 draw. Another draw will guarantee qualification for next year's Asian Cup.

Australia and Kuwait sit on top of Group B with 8 points each ahead of Oman on 7 points and Indonesia on 3 points. The top two teams qualify after the final qualifying round on March 3.
