The FFA insists the Socceroos will travel to Indonesia should they make it to the final of the Asian Cup, despite government warnings of an imminent terrorist attack there.
The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has issued a travel advisory warning that terrorists were actively planning attacks in Indonesia.
But FFA chief executive officer Ben Buckley said: "The advice that we have received to date would not suggest that that (avoiding Indonesia) would be a course that we would have to take.
"If we are fortunate enough to go that far, we are very convinced that the current security arrangements are satisfactory.
"We are taking advice from the right government agencies but at this stage we absolutely expect to be there if we are fortunate enough to win through.
"We consult regularly with all the appropriate government agencies on that sort of matters and we are taking advice on a regular basis."
The advisory had read: "We advise you to reconsider your need to travel to Indonesia, including Bali, at this time due to the very high threat of terrorist attack.
"We continue to receive reports indicating that terrorists are planning attacks against Western interests against a range of targets, including places frequented by foreigners."
The Socceroos have made it through to the last eight of the competition after defeating Thailand 4-0 last night, and next travel to Vietnam to meet Japan.
