THE SOCCEROOS will warm up for the final of World Cup qualifying with an international friendly against Denmark in Copenhagen on June 2.
The match will serve as vital preparation for both sides with Denmark preparing for the Euro 2012 campaign, while it will be Australia's final hit-out before the next round of World Cup qualifiers.
Australia have already qualified for the fourth round with one match to spare – against Saudi Arabia in February – with the draw for the next round set to be known in March.
The two sides have met on two previous occasions with the Socceroos winning their most recent battle 1-0 prior to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Coach Holger Osieck is looking forward to taking on the world No.11 Danes ahead of the crucial qualifiers.
"Denmark is a highly regarded football team with a well respected coach in Morten Olsen," said Osieck.
"The Danes will be a week away from their opening match for Euro 2012 when we meet in June so we expect to face a full strength and motivated opponent."
Denmark have been drawn in 'the group of death' at Euro 2012, alongside the Netherlands, Germany and Portugal.
