BRETT Holman and Tom Rogic have withdrawn from Australia's squad to face France and Canada due to injury.
According to a media release from Football Federation Australia, Al Nasr's Holman sustained a quadriceps strain during training with his club last week.
Rogic meanwhile has been sent back to Scottish Premier League side Celtic due to a groin injury.
The 20-year-old playmaker has seemingly been carrying the problem for much of the last two months, with Australia coach Holger Osieck citing Rogic's lack of mobility as a reason for his limited involvement in the 6-0 defeat away to Brazil last month.
The former Central Coast Mariners player has also received limited game-time for Neil Lennon's SPL champions so far in 2013-14.
Replacement players are not expected to be called up to the squad, leaving Dario Vidosic in pole position to start in a central attacking midfield role.
Oliver Bozanic and Nikita Rukavytsya are also candidates to play there, while Osieck could consider withdrawing Tim Cahill to that position and fielding a traditional striker at centre-forward.
Australia play France in Paris on Friday before taking on Canada in London four days later, with Osieck under pressure to keep his job after the disastrous result in Brasilia last month.
