Socceroos midfielder James Jeggo has snubbed offers from England and Portugal to sign with Greek giants Aris Thessaloniki.
Jeggo, who has become a more familiar fixture in the Socceroos midfield since his long-running association with Austrian challengers Austria Wien, has joined Aris.
The Thessaloniki club, who finished fifth in the Super League last season, secured Jeggo's services on a two-year contract.
Jeggo's agent, Buddy Farah, told News Corp that the move was a no brainer.
“There were a number of other opportunities in Portugal and England that we were considering, but when Aris came to the table and sold us the project it was really a no-brainer at this time of his career,” he said.

Jeggo thanked his former Vienna club, for whom he made 48 league appearances over two years.
“I was lucky enough to meet some wonderful people and want to thank my teammates, the coaches, all the support staff and the fans,” Jeggo said.
“I wish everyone involved with the club all the very best for the future!”
