Australia's quest for a fourth-consecutive World Cup appearance will get serious in Perth very shortly, with the Socceroos set to play a home fixture in the WA capital against Bangladesh on September 3 before the squad hits the road to take on Tajikistan.

The Socceroos welcome back seven "new" faces in Massimo Luongo, Adam Federici, Jackson Irvine, Tom Rogic, Robbie Kruse, Aaron Mooy and Ryan McGowan, as well as one debutant in goalkeeper Alex Cisak.

The players omitted from the most recent squad which travelled to Kyrgyzstan are Oliver Bozanic, Chris Ikonimidis, Daniel de Silva, Ivan Franjic, Eugene Galekovic, Mitch Langerak, Tomislav Mrcela and James Troisi.

Check out the rest of the squad in our gallery above, as the Road to Russia continues!
