AUSTRALIA have plummeted out of FIFA's top 30 for the first time in years after a string of recent poor performances took its toll on the Socceroos' international ranking.
Losses to Scotland and Jordan have sent Australia tumbling down the rankings, falling nine places in a month, and leapfrogged by Korea - up two to 27 - to now be the third-best nation in Asia behind leaders Japan, who remained steady in 23rd spot..
The shock slump means countries including Mali, Ireland, Belgium and Algeria are now higher ranked. New Zealand moved up three places to 92.
Elsewhere Colombia shot up to ninth, returning to the top 10 for the first time in more than 10 years.
Under head coach Jose Pekerman, Colombia have won their past two games over Chile (3-1) and Uruguay (4-0) and are on a run of four victories in five matches, which has taken them up 13 positions to ninth.
Greece are the other team to move into the top 10, moving from 11th to 10th, while Spain remain number one in the world.
Germany are still second in the rankings, while Portugal have improved one spot to third, followed by Argentina, who have risen three positions.
England have dropped two positions to fifth and the Netherlands are next, having moved up from eighth.
Uruguay have fallen from fifth to seventh, while Italy are eighth, down from sixth.
Croatia (11th) and Denmark (18th) are the two teams to drop out of the top 10.
Bulgaria have made the biggest improvement in the rankings, up 34 positions to 55th, while Luxembourg have plummeted down 36 spots to 142nd.
