The FFA today confirmed the clash in Hwaseong, Korea on Wednesday, November 14, kick-off 7pm, (9pm AEDT).

It is the 25th between the two who last met in the group stage of the Asian Cup Qatar 2011 in a match that ended in a 1-1 deadlock.

Korea are currently top of their World Cup qualifying group, and last month leapfrogged Australia in FIFA's world rankings, jumping up to 24 while the Socceroos slipped down to 34.

Today Osieck said he will use next month's match to fine tune his team for the remainder of the 2014 World Cup Asian qualification campaign.

“This will be another important game as part of our preparation for the second phase of this round of qualifiers,” said Osieck.

“We are now at the halfway mark and we need to focus on our remaining qualification matches.

“It’s always a challenge to face the Korea Republic, who are currently sitting at the top of their group, and the match will serve as a good comparison test for us.”
