The game will be the 7th match of the Socceroos current World Cup Qualifying campaign and will follow clashes with Thailand (November 15) and Iraq (March 23).

About 25,000 fans watched Australia defeat Jordan 5-1 in a World Cup Qualifier at Sydney Football Stadium in March this year with a solid crowd again expected.

“… I’m sure the people of Sydney will get behind the team after what was an entertaining match (last year) and fantastic performance from Ange’s squad,” FFA CEO David Gallop said.

“The road to Russia is heating up and this will be a critical match in the campaign. When we play at home in Australia we need to make the most of the opportunity on and off the pitch.”
