Australia will meet Argentina on September 11 in a rearranged international friendly at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The Football Federation of Australia (FFA) had agreed to the Argentinean Football Association's request to re-schedule the match with the Socceroos which had been planned for 6 June at the MCG.
Australia are currently preparing for July's Asian Cup and suffered a 2-1 defeat by Uruguay at the Telstra Stadium on Saturday.
"We'd like to thank all the fans for their patience and understanding while we finalised a new date for the match," said FFA chief executive Ben Buckley.
"We have worked hard with the Argentinean Association, the Victorian Government and the MCG to set a date in stone which will enable Argentina to bring their best players to Australia. We are very grateful for the continued strong support of the government in Victoria through this whole process.
"The new date is now confirmed and we hope that fans that have already purchased tickets will be able to attend as it promises to be a unique international major event with our Socceroos up against one of the top teams in the World. Coming straight off the back of our first ever Asian Cup campaign, I know the players are looking forward to another huge crowd in Melbourne."
