SOCHAUX president Alexandre Lacombe has reaffirmed his interest in Rangers striker Kris Boyd and believes a deal can be done to bring the Scotsman to France.
Boyd smashed Henrik Larsson'sScottish Premier League scoring record earlier this week with five goals in a 7-1 win over Dundee United at Ibrox taking his tally to 160.
The 26-year-old is out of contract this summer and Rangers could accept an offer this month rather than risk losing him for nothing.
Sochaux representative Gerard Battles will be at the Old Firm derby tomorrow and Lacombe claims a deal could be on the cards.
"He would really love to come to France," the Sochaux boss told L'Equipe. "A transfer in January is foreseeable and his salary is not prohibitive.
"Moreover, he will be at the the end of his contract in June."
Sochaux are 15th in the Ligue 1 standings albeit with two games in hand on the majority of their rivals.
