The 22-year-old he did not take part in training today but was introduced to his new team mates at Ballymore Stadium this morning.

A keen observer of the morning session, Solorzano declared himself willing to take up the Brisbane Roar cause as soon as coach Ange Postecoglou was ready to use him.

"I will work hard for Brisbane Roar and I am confident the supporters will embrace that and have positive feelings towards me," Solorzano said.

"When you play with your heart, work hard and try your best the supporters will embrace and recognise that. The most important thing for me is always the team.

"If things are going well for the team and I'm lucky enough to be scoring goals that will be perfect. But if the team is going well, it doesn't matter if I'm scoring the goals or other people are scoring the goals."

While pace and goals are what many are looking forward to from the young striker, the man himself believes his versatility will also be a major asset to his new club.

"I will bring a lot of pace to the side and I am comfortable playing in whatever position the coach wants to play me," he said. "Even if I play in more defensive positions I know I can do well.

"This is a dream opportunity for me. Playing abroad is what I have wanted to do since I first started playing football.

"Just being here and playing with all these different players is a great opportunity and one I really want to make the most of."

In 16 matches in the recently completed Costa Rican season, the quietly spoken marksman notched eight goals.

Fans will be hoping he can replicate that scoring rate in the Hyundai A-League as Brisbane Roar looks to secure finals football in the upcoming season.

Solorzano has been called up into camp for the Costa Rican national team three times, but is yet to make his debut at senior international level for his country.

While he speaks no English, the striker said he had no concerns about communicating with his new team mates.

"Football is one language wherever you are in the world," he said. "When you are on the field, everyone adapts to each other and plays for the best of the team."

Fans can meet Solorzano for the first time at Sunday's Brisbane Roar Family Fun Day at the Roma Street Parklands.

Fans will also get a chance to meet the rest of the squad when the players are presented their jerseys for the Hyundai A-League 2010/11 season.

Suncorp Stadium General Manager, Alan Graham said the Brisbane Roar Board had shown tremendous foresight in committing to the Stadium long-term.

He added: "Despite media speculation to the contrary, the Brisbane Roar board to its credit, recognised Suncorp Stadium as the most commercially viable venue going forward."
