Tottenham full-back Young-Pyo Lee will consider his options at White Hart Lane when he returns from international duty with South Korea.
The 30-year-old, who is representing his country at the Asian Cup, almost left the club earlier in the year and will be in competition with £10million signing Gareth Bale next season.
"I was very close to going to Italy but negotiations fell through at the last minute," said Lee.
"This time I will take my time evaluating the different options before making a decision. I will reconsider everything from the start."
Lee featured 31 times last season as cup runs increased the workload on Spurs' squad, and he could yet be given assurances of featuring in the next campaign as Bale looks to establish himself in the Premier League.
Jol has also signed Younes Kaboul from French side Auxerre and Darren Bent, the £16.5million signing from Charlton who scored on his Spurs debut on Saturday, netting in a friendly against Stevenage Borough.
"It is a case of blowing away the cobwebs and I am looking forward to the next game," said Bent.
"It is always nice to find the net in your first game and get rid of the nerves. If you do go a while without a goal it can be a worry, but I was delighted with the goal and was also bought down for a penalty, so I am happy."
Bent linked up with Robbie Keane at the weekend, and Dimitar Berbatov and Jermain Defoe complete Jol's options up front.
"Robbie is brilliant and I have known that for a long time," added Bent.
"He is just one of the great strikers at the club and that is why I wanted to come here and be part of it."
